“Come Some Winter Morning (Featuring the Kruger Brothers)” An advance single from January 2023’s Snow White Memories By Irene Kelley IRK Records
“This song got started one morning while in Gatlinburg,” says Irene Kelley about “Come Some Winter Morning,” her latest release featuring bluegrass legends The Kruger Brothers. It will appear on her Snow White Memories album (January 24, 2023 add date). “The fire was going and the first verse and melody kinda rolled out. A few months later, Ronnie, Terry, and I finished it up while on a return trip in that same cabin and its generous inspiration - a writing retreat of sorts. Terry remarked that it reminded him of something that The Kruger Brothers might record and offered to reach out to them and ask if they would be interested in playing the track. Terry, Ronnie, and myself are all 3 HUGE Kruger Brothers fans. Jens responded right away and said ‘yes for sure.’ So, this is the result of their fine playing. My friend and long-time band member, Wayne Southards adds a beautiful harmony part.”
NEW SINGLE AVAILABLE ON ALL DIGITAL PLATFORMS 11/11/2022
Kelley’s fourth full length bluegrass album, Snow White Memories includes three chart topping singles with “Wild Mountain Stream” the #1 song for all of 2021 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Chart. A Pennsylvania coal miner’s granddaughter, Kelley went from singing lead with the bluegrass band Redwing to Nashville and a pair of major label singles. Her songwriting career took off. She had her hand in songs recorded by Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood, Loretta Lynn, Little Big Town, Rhonda Vincent, Claire Lynch, Darrell Scott, The Whites, the Osborne Brothers, and Bill Anderson. Returning to bluegrass with 2014’s acclaimed Pennsylvania Coal, her solo career finally soared, establishing as a well-rounded bluegrass vocalist and performer as well as a top songwriter. Next came Benny’s TV Repair and its 5 #1 songs “Stay tuned. This next album will have a lot of sentiment,” she says.

COME SOME WINTER MORNING QUIET HOURS BITTER SWEET ON THAT WINTER MORNING YOU WON’T BE FAR AWAY FROM ME
COME SOME SNOWY EVENING, AS THE FIRE CRACKS AND BURNS
MEMORIES LIVE FOREVER JUST LIKE LIFE THEY TWIST AND TURN
NO MATTER WHERE I WONDER
I’LL ALWAYS WONDER ABOUT YOU
WORDS ARE SOMETIMES SPOKEN IN SPITE OF WHAT THE HEART MAY KNOW
YOU CAN HOLD FOREVER IF YOU TAKE THE MEMORIES WHEN YOU GO
(TURN OVER VERSE MELODY)
NO MATTER WHERE I WONDER
I’LL ALWAYS WONDER ABOUT YOU
THE MYSTERY OF THE TWILIGHT THE BEAUTY OF THE STARS ABOVE YOU SHOULD KNOW IN MY EYES YOU’ LL AL- WAYS BE THE ONE I LOVE COME SOME WINTER MORNING QUIET HOURS BITTER SWEET ON THAT WINTER MORNING YOU WON’T BE FAR AWAY FROM ME
